MEASUREMENTS
Measurement Functions: Dose, Auto Dose, Last Dose, Dose Rate, Max Dose Rate, Pulsed/Cine, kV Pulse, kV Fluoro and kV Dental. A setup mode allows the user to set time and radiation units, temperature and pressure compensation modes, choose or
eliminate main-menu functions, and control other parameters.

Dose: Total dose (no threshold) during diagnostic, mammography and low-level leakage exposures.

Auto Dose: Automatic "hands-off," total-dose measurements such as repeatability, mA linearity, and timer linearity procedures.

Last Dose: Provides a snap shot of total accumulated dose at any time during a continuous exposure.

Dose Rate: For measurements such as dose rate in fluoro procedures and shielding integrity. Update rate is adjusted auto-
matically for best results.

Max Dose Rate: Display holds the peak dose rate measured during an exposure, such as in fluoroscopy.

Pulsed/Cine: Provides dose per pulse for Cine and pulsed fluoroscopic machines. Automatic triggering, user selectable delay and acquisition intervals.

kV Pulse: Displays kVp, dose, time and mAs depending on sensors connected for radiography and mammography.

kV Fluoro: Continuous display of kVp, dose rate and mA depending on sensors connected for Fluoroscopy.

kV Dental: Operates like kV Pulse. Dental mode allows use of an increased user selectable triggering threshold to exclude preheat pulses from the kV and duration measurement.

ION CHAMBERS

THE GOLD STANDARD IN ION CHAMBER and kV SENSOR TECHNOLOGY
Radcal’s Model 9095 radiation-monitoring system utilizes a wide range of Radcal ion chambers. The 9095 recognizes the connected sensor and retrieves calibration information from the sensor; there are no user-controlled calibrations required.

The Ion Chambers feature:
Uniform energy response • Wide dynamic range • Proven advanced performance

10X9-6
The General Purpose, in Beam Chamber

The 10X9-6 chamber permits in-beam measurements as described in “Routine Compliance Testing for Diagnostic x-ray systems” (PB89-205215). This chamber is ideal when using the CDRH geometry (the 10T5 test stand).
10X9-6M
The Dedicated Mammography Chamber

Long before the Mammography Quality Assurance Standards Act, Radcal designed what proved to be one of the finest low energy chambers on the market. It’s extraordinary flat energy response over the 10 - 40 keV has been documented in technical papers and makes corrections unnecessary. Unlike solid state detectors, the -6M’s response is not influenced by tube target material or filtration.
10X9-60 & 10X9-60E
The ‘Service’ Chambers

The dynamic range and thin profile of these chambers make them ideal for virtually all X-ray service applications:
• Input Dose at the Image Intensifier
• High dose rates encountered in Fluoroscopy
• Cine, spot film devices & other special procedures
Additionally, the -60E(extended) chamber’s increased sensitivity at lower energies turns the chamber into a “Universal” detector, covering mammography through R&F and beyond. The 8231 holder is recommended.
10X9-3CT
The Chamber for Computed Tomography Dose Index (CTDI)

When used in conjunction with Radcal’s 20CT6 (head phantom) and Radcal’s 20CT14 (body phantom) the 10X9-3CT permits evaluation of the radiation output as prescribed by HHS publication FDA 88-8035. It’s excellent energy, partial volume response and position uniformity has been well documented.
10X9-180
The Leakage and Low Level Measurements Chamber

The 10X9-180 ion chamber is designed for leakage measurements as described in “Regulations for the Administration and Enforcement of The Radiation Control for Health and Safety Act of 1968” (HHS Publication FDA 88-8035), and provides the required effective cross-section of 100 cm2.
10X9-1800
The Radiation Protection Chamber

The 10X9-1800 ionization chamber is intended for low-level radiation measurements such as shielding leakage, irradiator and environmental. Unlike typical survey meters, the 10X9-1800 chamber offers improved accuracy over a wider dynamic range.

ACCESSORIES

9095 CASES
The case with or without the expanded lid and accessories is portable and compact, making traveling with the 9095 both convenient and worry-free.

CHAMBER ADAPTER
If you already have a 9000 series radiation monitor, the 10A95 adapter provides automatic recognition of the Radcal 10X5–series Ion chambers. It converts the chamber ID and chamber calibration factor information that is encoded in the stem of the 10X5 chambers into the digital form that the 9095 recognizes.

mAs MEASUREMENT
The 90M9 mAs sensor is a ground-isolated invasive sensor that connects to the x-ray generator and works in conjunction with the kV system. The sensor measures and stores an mA value for each kV sample and computes average mA and mAs. The average values are displayed in the kV modes. The mA waveform is available over the 9095’s RS-232 connection.

FEATURES
Automatic zero.
Measurement synchronized to kV waveform.
No range switching.
Measures absolute value (no rectifier drop and optimum noise rejection)
up to 720 Hz (12-pulse 60-Hz x-ray generator).
mA-waveform available to an external PC using XLPRO-9095 software.
