XLPRO kVp Full Detail Capture

This union transforms your 9000-series Radiation Monitor and computer into an integrated data-capture and report-generation system for your x-ray quality-assurance needs. Radcal’s add-in provides two-way communication through your computer’s RS-232 port to the 9000-series Radiation Monitor. Includes RS-232 to USB Adapter.

Premium Features:
Accu-Peak (kVp)
Average kV (kV)
Practical Peak Voltage (PPV)
Auto-graphing of the kV waveform
Fouier Transform (FT) frequency spectrum.

Accu-Peak (kVp) - kVp is representative of the value a service engineer would deduce from observing the kV waveform on an oscilloscope. An Accu-Peak calculation is performed which computes a (kVp) value based on the FT determined ripple added to the average peak voltage.

Average kV (kV) - kV is representative of the value a medical physicist would use to match image quality between x-ray machines with different waveforms. An average of the peaks is calculated from the waveform data and is displayed as the average peak voltage (kV).

Practical Peak Voltage (PPV) - A calculation of (PPV) is performed, which is the constant potential producing the same image contrast as the waveform under test. PPV as defined in IEC 61676 "Dosimetric instruments used for non-invasive measurement of x-ray tube voltage in diagnostic radiology".
